Lease to Own — please read before you start

Your lease runs through Escrow.com, the licensed escrow service that holds the domain name and collects your payments. Here is how it works:

• Your payments. The term is 12 months. Your monthly payment is $370.67 toward the $4,448.00 purchase price. The final payment may differ by a few cents so the 12 payments equal the purchase price exactly.
• Escrow.com's fees are extra. Escrow.com charges a holding fee of $100 per month, plus a one-time escrow fee. These are added to your payments and are not included in the monthly amount shown.
• The agreement comes first. Before any payment, you and the seller sign Escrow.com's Domain Holding Agreement. That agreement is the binding contract — this page is a summary, not the contract.
• Escrow holds the name. The seller transfers the domain name into Escrow.com's holding account, where it stays locked for the whole term. You do not own the registration until the final payment is made, and the name cannot be sold or transferred during the term.
• Using the name. You can put the name to work during the term. DNS changes are handled through Escrow.com and carry an $85 fee per change. Changing your payment schedule after the transaction starts carries a $250 Escrow.com fee.
• At the end. When your final payment clears, Escrow.com transfers the domain name to you, outright.
• If a payment is missed. You get the cure period stated in the agreement to catch up. If it is not cured, the transaction is cancelled, the domain name returns to the seller, and payments already made are not refunded.
